Ann Parker of Monkey Ann

The name Monkey Ann comes from a nickname given to Ann Parker by two of her nieces, who, when they were young loved to be teased by her.  This name reflects her sense of humour.

Ann was introduced to polymer clay as a medium for jewellery by her talented daughter Emily.  She has developed her own unique style, which is influenced by her love of strong colours and bold shapes.  She spends time working within a range of colours to find those that work well with each other, before proceeding to make the beads for her next project.

Ann has always been interested in the colours around her and now finds herself examining the interactions between shades and hues, found in nature and everyday objects, more intently, which she then uses to channel her choice of colours.

Her large hollow beads look stunning, but are surprisingly light and are therefore extremely comfortable to wear.
